The Law to Our Rescue

You are not alone or unprotected when it comes to raising voice against animal cruelty. The rights of all animals are defined by the law and these laws help us whenever animals are exploited or treated inhumanely. Here are some documents consisting the major Animal Protection Laws in India. Make sure you go through them in detail to know the rights of the animals as well as your rights when you work for animals.

The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960
Laws for the Guidance of Police, HAWOs, NGOs and AWOs
Pet & Street Dogs, & their Care-Givers and RWA and AOA
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Slaughter House) Rules, 2001
